2004 Topps Series Stitches #SSR-RY Robin Yount (Game-Worn Jersey)
It's never going to happen for my team. Cheering for the David of the league against several Goliaths takes too much out of me. I couldn't even watch any of the Brewers' playoff games this year, knowing that it will inevitably end in ruin at the hands of a much richer team. It's never going to happen.

It’s quite a thing when your ship comes in.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you consider the Padres to be one of the "rich" teams, but I'm still waiting on them to win it all too.
ReplyDeleteplease don't stop following baseball! The Brewers have become a sort of adopted team for me for about the last decade through family geography and everything about them has been as cool or cooler (can't think of a better word atm) as you're going to find in any market... except the one thing you mentioned. Oh, and parking at your stadium... ;) From Ueck to Usingers, from great players, shrewd trades, electric dudes, a fantastic ballpark with a hilarious giant beermaker on a huge yellow slide, all the way to the name, mb glove logo, and A+ threads, the Brewers are so fun. It'll be so much more special when it happens, and it will, because those guys always seem to know what they're doing. I still often wonder what might have happened had Trent Grisham not done whatever that was he did in right field that one year...
ReplyDeleteSorry for the anonymous. This is Daniel.
DeleteGood get.
ReplyDeleteFans of rich teams complain when they don't win it all. Even if they make the playoffs.
